The journey so far! The first few months as a digital marketing apprentice.

I joined Very Displays in January as a digital marketing apprentice. Having previously worked in retail, I wanted a change where I could be creative and learn new skills. Marketing was always something I was really interested in. I assumed without previous experience or a university degree, I wouldn’t be able to move over to a marketing role. But this is where Baltic Apprenticeships came in! It seemed a valuable step to come out with a qualification and on the job experience!

I remember looking at the Very Displays website and learning what kind of products they offered and how committed to offering a personal level of service the company was. Eight months later, I am settling into my new job role.

Day to day I write content for our social media platforms, develop blog posts and create marketing emails. Over the past couple of months I have learnt a variety of different skills, including how to use scheduling software and operate CRM software. I am also learning how to use WordPress to edit the company website and upload blog posts. Canva is allowing me to get creative, designing banners and graphics for all our digital platforms. Watch this space as I am also learning photoshop!

Some of my favourite work …

My favourite campaign so far is The Print Show 2022. It gave me the opportunity to create the social and marketing content, which allowed me to be creative while promoting our attendance. I loved attending the show too! Getting to meet our customers and see other companies in the print & display industry.

Overall, I really enjoy working at Very Displays. I get the opportunity to work with super friendly and knowledge people, who help to support me through my apprenticeship journey. Every day I get the opportunity to be creative and write, which is something I have always wanted in a job.

I have learnt so much so far in my apprenticeship and hope to build this in the up-and-coming months.
